Uncomplicated Brands is a creative agency focused on helping tech startups clarify their messaging through simplicity. Their philosophy is “Simplify to Amplify,” aiming to strip away the unnecessary to create more effective communication.

The goal of the branding was to reflect this philosophy of clarity and effectiveness. I was tasked with creating a visual identity that felt clean, elegant, and approachable, while incorporating a subtle sense of femininity to align with the owner, a strong female leader in business.

I developed a word-mark logo using a modern, sans-serif font, emphasizing simplicity and readability. To reinforce the “removal of unnecessary” concept, I designed a minimalist “Strike” icon, symbolizing the act of cutting through clutter. This icon became a central part of the visual language, subtly reinforcing the agency’s mission.

The color palette consisted of black, white, off-whites, and a vibrant coral pink to add a feminine touch without overpowering the clean aesthetic. The typography was carefully chosen—a modern, geometric sans-serif font that balances elegance and minimalism. It paired effortlessly with the imagery and iconography, ensuring visual harmony across all brand touchpoints.

For the website, I extended the core principles of simplicity and clarity. The layout was minimal and intuitive, using white space effectively to guide the viewer’s focus. The coral accents and refined typography helped break up content sections, keeping the site visually engaging while ensuring the messaging remained at the forefront.

I also designed custom iconography to visually enhance key messages throughout the site, further simplifying complex ideas for tech startup clients. The website was responsive, maintaining the clean and approachable design across all devices.
