Brand Identity
Neuron approached me with the goal of refining and defining its brand identity to align with its core principles of precision, trustworthiness, and certainty. The challenge was to create a cohesive and consistent visual identity that would not only enhance brand recognition but also guide the company as it grows and explores new ventures.
Objectives:
Refine the logo to reflect Neuron’s core principles.
Create a flexible yet consistent brand system across all touchpoints.
Ensure that the brand communicates professionalism and trust to customers and stakeholders.
Strategy:
The branding process began with a detailed analysis of Neuron’s identity and its positioning in the market. The aim was to express Neuron’s precision-driven, no-nonsense engineering approach while maintaining a sleek and modern aesthetic. The updated brand identity emphasizes simplicity, cohesion, and flexibility.
Logo Refinement:
The Neuron logo was updated to enforce the company’s commitment to precision. It now features a minimalist wordmark, constructed using only the simplest shapes (circles and line segments), and a refined icon that subtly incorporates a high-rise building within the negative space.
Color Palette:
Neuron’s new color palette includes core colors like Navy (#202c46) and Orange (#eb6c47), paired with supporting tones such as Steel and Shadow. This combination fosters a strong, professional aesthetic while providing enough versatility for diverse applications.
Typography:
Lato, a widely used typeface, was selected for its readability and flexibility across different platforms. It offers a balance between modernity and professionalism, with a custom-built Neuron alphabet used sparingly for impactful signposting, aligning with Neuron’s ethos of beauty in simplicity.
Graphic Assets:
New graphic elements, including neuron-like lines and silhouette breakers, were introduced to enhance visual flow and signify connections. These dynamic assets reinforce Neuron’s name and concept, highlighting connectivity and progress.
Consistency in Communication:
Detailed guidelines on logo usage, color combinations, and typography ensure that Neuron’s visual identity remains consistent across all platforms. This consistency helps build trust and strengthens the company’s presence as it continues to grow.
